aww tips for fishing in a lake?
this lake is a a medium sized lake not that big or small..
theres lots of lilly pads on the corners and the water is always murkey.
i’ve fished for days and days in the same lake with only bites…
i use…
no weights
live worms,grub earthworms, salmon eggs
no bobber
invisable line..
shrimp oil (put on bait)
this guy catches like 50 big fish everytime i come there and i just watch him..
i asked advice on how to put a worm on and he showed me..
when he caught his last fish i went to his spot and only got 1 bite…
while he caught like 30 fish.
i even try everywhere off the dock and i have no luck…
he said its best not to use a bober or weight because thats how he catches all his fish and a guy a long time ago told him to do that.
theres bluegill,trout,perch,catfish and crappie in the lake.

For years I had troubles like that. I started taking a bucket of shore mud with me to wash my hands before I touched the bait or the hook. Did wonders for my catch rate. It seems that some people have an oily skin that the fish can taste, and it gets on the bait.
