Is it possible that a commercial silencer can be made out of something else instead of stainless steel?
How about using tungsten or depleted uranium to make a silencer? So that it’ll be harder and maybe heavier (therefore administering more damage to an enemy) so that you can use it as a blunt weapon (you could do that if you mastered silat suffian bela diri or arnis or something), together with the empty FiveseveN on the other free hand, after all your bullets are out.
And does it matter what material it is made of? Like, if it’s made of aluminum, it makes the noise less audible than if it is made of steel or something?
If you ever have to use a pistol in any other form than it was designed for, suppressor equipped or not, your target has gotten too bloody close, and you should be running the other WAY! Even though the military still teaches bayonet drills, NO modern firearm, rifle or pistol, should be used as a ‘club’ except as an absolute LAST resort!
Even a suppressor that is an integral component of a rifle or pistol is a poor weapon used other than originally intended, no matter what ‘martial art’ one may have studied.
Most suppressors, as their mass hangs off the end of the pistol barrel, are almost always made of aluminum, NOT steel, stainless or otherwise, especially the longer ones, to minimize their weight. Suppressors are more or less efficient due to their internal designs, not the materials they are constructed of.
