Any ideas on where I can purchase an SVO conversion kit ?
They only sell them commercially, not to everday consumers. I have searched online, no luck. ANy help would be much appreciated. An SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) conversion kit allows one to convert a diesel enigine to use vegetable oil, used or not. I have a diesel truck I want to convert. Takes the price per gallon from almost $3 to 60 cents per.

First thing the converters typically cost between $1500-$2000.
Also you can only get it down to $.60/gallon if you can convince a restaurant to give you the vegetable oil. Many EPA regulations now prevent restaurants from giving away the oil. (Especially in CA) So depending on the state you’re in make sure you strike a deal with a restaurant before doing this.
Go to the grocery store, you’ll see that vegetable oil at the cheapest here will cost you $8/gallon. So make sure you’ve got a good fuel source before the conversion.
