A Lasting Impression: Ice Can Last Through Your Event, And Create Memories Beyond
Most parties last only a few hours. The food is eaten, the people walk away, and the games and music end. There’s a temporary nature to the whole event, leaving us with the stories, and good times.
Ice party accessories are also temporary, but they do have a long enough life to make a lasting impact on your guests. With a show life of 8 to 15 hours, they will maintain their intended appeal throughout the duration of your party—whether it is a wedding reception, college party, bachelor party or just a gathering of friends.
Think of it this way. A game of bags is fun. A bags game made from ice is something your guests will remember about this party for a long time. Ice also adds another dimension to the popular party game, beer pong.
Great care is taken in making sure the ice is visually appealing, and is in the best possible condition for your event. The harvesting, carving and distribution all require much attention to ensure that customers receive a memorable product.
First, a clear block of ice must be created. So, the water is filtered, extracting any impurities. The water is also agitated as it freezes. This forces excess air out. It’s the impurities and air that cause cloudiness in a typical frozen block of water. So with these steps, the ice freezes clear.
The water is also frozen at a slightly warmer temperature than a standard freezer. It is frozen somewhere between 18 and 22 degrees, which makes the process take about three to four days. This helps with the crisp, clear look and makes the ice softer and more pliable for carving.
The carving is either done by hand or with a computer program that allows for exact detail to be easily repeated. The amount of time for each project varies on the size of the project, level of detail and tools used.
Ice sculptures are delivered, and any ice party accessories are pickup only. Because of the temporary nature of the product, punctual delivery times are extremely important. This requires a lot of planning, and care. Since the party accessories are pickup only, it significantly drives down the cost of the product. They still come bagged and boxed, to help ensure longevity.
Once the party begins, the party accessories are there for your guests to use and enjoy through the duration of your party. They will also be remembered long after.
