why does Guinness beer cost so much in the States?
it taste great but in the U.S. its price is so high? if sales went up do you think the price would come down or go up?
as others have stated, import cost and taxes are the likely cost
as for prices, if it follows the free-market economy, if sales went up, that WON’T drop the price… if anything, it might increase the cost if the company can’t produce more to meet demand. the only way prices would drop is if:
they open a brewery in the US
their demand drops significantly to warrent dropping price to increase consumption.
they develope a cheaper means of production
their transport cost or import taxes by the US are reduced.
