Is there a fluid that is good for leaving disposable razors in overnight?

When I was younger you could buy a special fluid and leave your disposable razor in it over night and the blade seemed to last a long longer. I later was told its because razors will often get mineral deposits from shaving cream and water on a microscopic level before they go dull and that makes their blades jagged.

I have really hard water now and my blades don’t seem to last more than two uses. I looked all over for the solution I used to leave them in but cannot remember the name of it and cannot find it. Can anyone help? And it wasn’t just alcohol.
I realized that I am going to get a ton of people offering advice but not answering my question. I appreciate the attempt to help but I have already read all the websites with those helpful hints.

I am only interested in finding the solution you can leave your razor blades in over night.

Listerine always works. But if that doesnt work then you could read the site in the sources. Remember, your trying to prevent Corrosion, where water gets into the metals and starts to weaken it. “Corrosion is the degradation of the metals and alloys properties due to electrochemical oxidation of the surface.”

Try putting it in a plastic bag with baby oil over night, ive heard that works. Or women’s shavers to, they actually work better than you’d think. I seriously would just try adding a little of those packets you find in random things, shoe boxes? The packets that say “Do not eat” that are used to extract moisture, just throw those in a baggie and then your razor along with it. Cleaning it with HOT water every night helps, dry it off good though.

Alcohol and water will not work, it just speeds it up.
