How to makeover appliances?
I would love to have all new stainless appliances all through my kitchen but cant afford that all at once. I have a fridge, microwave and stove I would like to makeover. The fridge is a kenmore, side by side, white. The microwave is black and the stove is beige and black. I would love some coherence! How can I make them over? Paint? Stick on stuff? Are there faux covers you can buy? Dont worry, the microwave was free, the fridge was secondhand and $60 and the stove is about 15 yrs old. They are all old, Im ok with re-doing them.

Depending on the brand and make of your appliance, there are panels that you can order and place on the fridge and stove but there pricey, http://www.kitchensource.com/kau/frigo.htm.
Another option would be to spraypaint the outsides of your microwave and stove. I’m not sure if its a good idea to use the spray paint near the burners though, so you could use burner covers instead http://www.burnercoverking.com/SquareCovers.html.
Another good idea for the refrigerator would be to use chalkboard paint, this is really cool because than you’d be able to leave messages and draw cool pictures on it, http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/sf/how-to/how-to-make-a-chalkboard-fridge-like-danny-seos-012857.
Also, I would stay away from spraypainting your appliances silver since this will usually look fake and instead use black spraypaint and the black chalkboard paint to get a consistent color theme
