Sharp JX 9460 – The Greatest Machine You Will Get

Overall features- The Sharp JX 9460 laser printer with Sharp JX 9460 printer toner boasts with high quality prints at a extremely slow rate of maximum 6 pages per minute at 300 dpi resolutions. Both portrait and landscape page orientation options are available. A 250 sheet paper cassette comes standard with your purchase plus a manual feed slot for unconventional paper, transparencies, film, labels and envelopes. The printer also has five emulations as well as Epson FX 80, IBM Proprinter and IBM Graphics Printer extra emulations. 1.0 MB Random Access Memory comes with the printer.

Control panel- The printers’ control panel is very confusing to say the least with a Christmas tree lighting effect every time the printer performs or fails to perform an operation. The control panel mainly comprises of buttons and lights indicating print options and status. Please set the printers’ status to offline before attempting usage of function keys. The majority of the function keys are duel function depending upon the duration and times buttons are pushed. A red error light, lights-up during printing errors. A green online light indicated the device is ready to receive data and print. A yellow manual light indicates that the printer is switched to manual feed mode and the data light, blinks while waiting for feed commands from user.

Saving features- The printer cannot be accused of not being environmentally friendly as it comes with a wonderful built-in power saving feature. Upon setup your printer will default to power saving mode with a turn-off option. When no data is received or none of the keys are pressed for a pre-determined time frame the device will immediately go into power save mode. The whole purpose is to significantly reduce power consumption by reducing temperatures of the fusing unit.

Paper compatibility- The printer is very fussy when it comes to paper size compatibility and will only accepted letter, A4, envelope, label, transparency and legal sizes. Envelope sizes accepted by the printer are International C5, DL, Business and Monarch. Steer clear from envelopes with any attachments such as strings, tabs, snaps or even windows as they have the potential of causing incredible damage the printer. Use only manufacturer approved transparencies. It is important to adjust your density when using transparencies. Just be sure to use Sharp JX 9460 printer toner cartridge .

Font cards- Font cards provide fonts that do not come standard with your printer. This credit card sized card is inserted in a special card slot on the right card side of the printer. Please make sure that the card is inserted or removed while online and data lights are off and no prints are being produced. Should the card be inserted while lights are lit erratic prints and hardware errors may occur.

Toner- The Sharp JX 9460 printer cartridge has an impressive print capacity of 3 000 pages. Toner prices range between US$89.00 and US$ 199.00. In general the machine is a good investment when considering quality and print capacity.
