Giving Your Kitchen A Makeover Is Fun

Every experienced cook knows when it is time to replace certain cookware. Sometimes, cookware gets so old and dirty. Sometimes they get dents or scratches. Sometimes, discolored bake ware like old square cake pans can actually affect the quality of your deserts. If your cupboards are full with too many things, it may be time to do a little organizing. By the way, Giving your kitchen a makeover is fun.

You should discard all of those old, thin frying pans and thin saucepans, including thin round cake pans. They are outdated items that have been improved upon greatly by their successful counterparts. Anything you cook in should not be lightweight. Unless you are backpacking across America, You do not need to keep that battered aluminum saucepan!

If you have old, ugly Teflon that is falling apart, do not toss it into the trash. Throw it in hard! You want to make sure it sinks to the bottom. Shame on you for keeping a pan that is chipping Teflon. For that matter, it is a good idea to throw out anything else that is damage with rust or fire.

Another tip to eliminate kitchen clutter is to dump anything made from old plastic. Plastic is not the most durable material, and as time passes, plastic can deteriorate. Often, plastic can become hard and brittle before it eventually breaks apart. Certain plastics can transfer off incredibly bad odors to your cooking. It can easily ruin an otherwise good meal. This can especially happen when you are cooking over a stove top.

Okay, stop throwing everything into the trash so fast! Some of that stuff is actually collectible. You may not like those old glass nesting bowls and funky cookie cutters but there is somebody out there willing to give you money for them. Put those things in a pile somewhere. They could pay for that new loft bed you have been dreaming about.

If you have a bunch of chipped coffee cups in your cupboard, you have waited to long to clean! You may keep a few of those for small potted plants but kindly throw those out. Chances are, even the homeless are not interested in those! What else do you have? An ugly serving set still in the box? Chances are somebody gave it to you. Those can be donated to someone who has less than you do. Basically, just get rid of the obvious. This includes tacky souvenir glasses and plastic containers that have turned orange. If you have scratched and stained tumblers that even you wouldn’t drink from, say goodbye to those as well.

By now, you have probably notice your excessive jar collection. For the sake of your kitchen, get rid of them. You may only keep a few. And there you have it. Easy Ways to improve your kitchen.
