Deltec have been around for more than 20 years working on practical and efficient solutions to take care of the needs of aquariasts the world over. One of their areas of expertise is protein skimmers, and the Single Chamber SC2060 and Twin Chamber TC2060 are the synthesis of all the knowledge and expertise they have built up over those 20 years. The SC is an internal or in-sump skimmer while the TC is an external unit. With these units Deltec put a major emphasis on efficiency, which has resulted in some very impressive numbers and more importantly the unit far outdoes the performance of the popular AP701/AP851 units. TC2060
To demonstrate how impressive the specs are, let’s compare the SC & TC models to the AP701/AP851, the AP701/AP851 produced 600lts of air per hour and in the processed consumed 36 Watts of power. deltec 509. With the new SC & TC models significant improvements have been made to the pump and the patented bubble plate to where they are capable of producing 1,500 lts of air per hour while using less power at the same time, 25 Watts to be exact.

Now we all know the goal is have as much air/water interface being produced as possible and for the SC & TC models to be able to pump 150% more air per hour while using 30% less power means you get the best of both worlds. deltec sc2560.You get to have more air delivered to the bubble chamber, producing more bubbles, yielding more air/water interface to remove a greater quantity of unwanted elements, while using less power to do the job.
