Stovetop Smoker

My solid burner stovetop doesn’t seem to heat up enough anymore. It won’t boil water. On light won’t go off.
I used a stainless steel smoker on the burner and even since then it won’t heat up like it used to. I have tried resetting the circuit breaker and it didn’t help.
Check the bottom of your pan to make sure it is flat and sits solidly on the burner. Warped pots and pans do not heat up well on solid cooktops. If this doesn’t work you may have a thermostat problem. May need to call a repair person.
