Charbroil And Infrared Gas Grills
Charbroil have been selling low priced barbeque grills since the 50′s. Charbroil was part of the W.C. Bradley Co. with may retail and business enterprises. The first grill was a cast iron barbecue charcoal grill. In the 1960′s barbeques became added. Although manufactured elsewhere the Char-Broil barbecues are still very popular and charbroil bbq grill parts both easily available and sought after. Even though the charcoal grills are still quite popular, they had their peak of sales as late as 1988. They were loosing ground to the more convenient gas grills especially after portable propane gas tanks were introduced. In 1995 gas grills overtook the old-fashioned charcoal grills, announcing the end of the era of the charcoal grills.
The Charbroil – like most other barbecues – has gas grill burner tuber, range top side burners on a cart with a consistently evolving ignition. Although the name would indicate commercial use the commercial barbecues are aimed at residential use. The difference between Charbroil commercial and other model grills is primarily features.
Range top burners are not generally available without upgrading to the commercial models with two or more bbq burners.Commercial charbroil gas grills pull a lot more BTU’s and are hotter grills as a result. One can easily see what the differences between the commercial and non-commercial grills are.
Sear zones are the newest technology in Charbroil models utilizing ceramic burners that pressurize gas within the burner for intense heat. TEC invented pressurized infrared gas grill burners almost thirty years ago. Sear zones grill food directly and do not “barbecue” at lower temperatures. High temperature radiant grilling locks flavor inside the grilled meats for incredible flavor. This makes the whole process faster and also energy effective.
Charbroil is the only gas grill company that uses to completely divergent styles of infrared grill. Like the original TEC burner used with some Char-broil models there is a separate sear zone above a pressurized gas burner that reached temperatures over 1000 degrees in just a few minutes without closing the lid to capture heat. Also like the newer TEC grills, the Char-broil red uses a single pipe burner below a parabolic emitter that multiplies radiant heat within a closed firebox. Different Char-broil models use different versions of the TEC gas grillradiant technology.

A decade ago a grill was a product that cooked very hot at the cooking surface, a barbeque was a cooker that cooked with low, slow wood/charcoal fuel and the middle ground of gas cookers that cook in the 350 – 500 degree range were called gas broilers or char-broilers.
