Positive Affirmations For A More Confident You
Positive affirmation has been a practice that has been going round since a very long time ago and now you can be a more confident person with the benefits of this method. It is not exactly new technology, although the real “science” of it can actually be traced back into different scientific arenas and machines. The root of this method can be tracked back to methods that have been compared to things like creative visualisation and gratitude, which use the same methods of message and visual bombardment to shape the mind into a positive attitude and get rid of all the bad associations that the subconscious might be keeping; affecting your behaviour and how you react to experiential situations.
It is known quite well in New Age terminology as a practice of positive thinking, where proponents will use methods and sessions to inculcate a culture of positive mental attitude.In its base form, positive affirmation is simply repeating the same messages over and over again, writing them down frequently until it becomes a part of the thread of the individuals life and has been locked into the subconscious mind.In order for it to be effective, the messages have got to be carefully made to be extremely positive and personal, at the same time specific and written in present tense. This idea has grown very and increasingly famous because of Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret – which was also made into a film – and Esther and Jerry Hicks’ hit series The Law of Attraction.
These publications and gurus express the same principles to the classic Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. A lot of these modern day literature was inspired by many other publications, particularly by the pioneer of New Thought, Wallace D. Wattles’ 1910 manual The Science of Getting Rich. Affirmations, neuro-linguistic programming and hypnosis are related, with hypnosis being the more dangerous method as the user would not have control over the messages given to the subconscious mind – the reason why you should always think twice before using hypnosis. How this all can benefit you is quite simple; with positive affirmation, you will slowly begin to believe the positive messages that you have been repeating to yourself, and once you mind believes in them; there will be a drastic change in your behavior and your value systems.
Many people who have undergone this form of therapy have expressed greater euphoria, a higher level of confidence and more energy for life. Their social lives have become more active and they see life with a new perspective. You too can gain the same benefits of this technology and all you need to do is apply the principles of positive affirmations on a daily basis. The best of all is that you won’t need to spend hours. It will take effect with continued exposure and soon you are on your way to a improved life.
